L’eau débordait régulièrement dans la région. L’écluse « aux quatre lions » a été construite en 1844. Quatre lions ornaient et encadraient la passerelle de l’écluse. Cette écluse a été démantelée, deux de ces lions veillent désormais sur la Mairie d’Hergnies, ils encadrent un massif floral à deux pas de la Mairie.
Pour loguer « trouvée », il faut simplement prendre une photo d’un lion (Avec vous à côté si vous le désirez). Pour être valide la photo doit comporter un papier sur lequel vote pseudo de Géocacheur sera parfaitement lisible.

Trace of the past:
Water overflowed regularly in the area. The "Four Lions" sluice was built in 1844. Four lions adorned and framed the sluice walkway. This sluice was dismantled, two of these lions now watch over the Town Hall of Hergnies, they frame a flower bed close to the Town Hall.
To log "found it", you just need to take a picture of a lion (with you next to it if you wish). To be valid, the photo must include a piece of paper on which your Geocacher nickname will be perfectly legible.
