The bridge crosses Currency Creek on what has been since 1866 the main road to Goolwa from Adelaide. The bridge was the first vertically laminated timber arch bridge built by the Central Roads Board and completed in 1873. The bridge has a span of 12.5m and a width of 6.0m. and is supported by four arches of laminated timber which in turn are supported on siltstone abutment walls. The bridge is now fenced off from the public due to it's deteriorating condition
