St. Antonius ist eine römisch-katholische Kirche in Trier. Sie liegt im Stadtteil Mitte an der Antoniusstraße in der Nähe vom Augustinerhof und gehört zur katholischen Pfarrei Liebfrauen im Bistum Trier. Die Kirche mit dem Patrozinium des heiligen Einsiedlers Antonius wurde zwischen 1458 und 1514 im Südwesten des heute nicht mehr existierenden Kapuzinerberings erbaut. Sie entstand aus einer St.-Antonius-Kapelle als Nachfolgebau der außerhalb der Stadtmauer befindlichen Kirche St. Maria zur Brücke (Sankt Maria ad pontem), deren abseitige Lage zu ihrem Bedeutungsverlust beitrug. Der Sakralbau von St. Antonius ist vom spätgotischen Stil der Bauzeit geprägt, wurde jedoch später auch um Elemente des Rokoko ergänzt. Der eher schlicht gestaltete Innenraum besteht in unsymmetrischer Zweischiffigkeit aus einem niedrigen Seitenschiff und dem hohen Hauptschiff mit reichem Netzgewölbe und einer für gotische Kirchen typischen Weiträumigkeit und Lichtfülle. Der rechteckige Chorabschluss verfügt über ein die ganze Chorwand beherrschendes Fenster.

Für die Kirche schuf Alexander Linnemann aus Frankfurt vor 1900 zwei Fenster, Unterlagen hierzu befinden sich im Linnemann-Archiv. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurden diese Fenster zerstört und die Kirche schwer beschädigt. Der Wiederaufbau nach Plänen des Trierer Architekten Heinrich Otto Vogel stellte den alten Zustand der Kirche, insbesondere das weitgehend zerstörte Gewölbe, wieder her.

St. Antonius is a Roman Catholic church in Trier. It is located in the Mitte district on Antoniusstrasse near the Augustinerhof and belongs to the Catholic parish of Liebfrauen in the Trier diocese. The church with the patronage of the holy hermit Antonius was built between 1458 and 1514 in the southwest of the now defunct Capuchin ring. It emerged from a St. Antonius chapel as a successor to the church of St. Maria zur Brücke (Sankt Maria ad pontem) located outside the city wall, whose remote location contributed to its loss of importance. The sacred building of St. Antonius is characterized by the late Gothic style of the construction period, but was later supplemented with elements of the Rococo. The rather simply designed interior consists of an asymmetrical two-aisle structure consisting of a low side aisle and the high main nave with rich net vaults and a spaciousness and abundance of light typical of Gothic churches. The rectangular end of the choir has a window that dominates the entire choir wall.

Alexander Linnemann from Frankfurt created two windows for the church before 1900, documents for this are in the Linnemann archive. During the Second World War these windows were destroyed and the church was badly damaged. The reconstruction according to plans by the Trier architect Heinrich Otto Vogel restored the old condition of the church, in particular the largely destroyed vault.
