Monasterio de Santa Paula



" Modern age: 1500-1540
Styles: Mudejar, Renaissance

The monastery was built on top of a group of houses, some of which were added to the convent. Because of this, the remains of Arab houses can bee still found inside. The church presents a rectangular ground plan covered with a wooden frame. the graves of it's founders were placed inside. When the Gran Via de Colón was opened, the convent lost it's orchard and a historicist facade was added. The church is entered from Santa Paula Street."
