The "Mercadinho do Carmo" takes place every Sunday's morning in front of Carmo's church, in the center of Faro.
It's not a big one, has a very local atmosphere. A few tourists can be seen browsing the stalls but most of the people are older inhabitants, not so used to make their shopping in modern hypermarkets.
There are a few dozen stalls, selling mostly fresh vegetables and fruits but also assorted goods, like home baked cakes, cheese, honey, dried fruits, flowers.
There isn't a fixed time for the opening and closing. Each seller comes whenever they feel like and then they leave, roughly by lunch time.
