To get to Grandview Park on the SW part of Florence, KS from the US-77/US-50/W 8th Street, follow these instructions:
From the Roundabout in Florence, KS, go south on US-77 and turn left onto W 5th Street. Then turn right onto Grandview Street and drive to the end of the street. Turn left onto City Park Street and follow City Park until it meets Public Road. The park, pavilion and benchmark are just yards away to your right.

The benchmark is mounted in concrete that essentially is at ground level next to the foundation of the pavilion. It is slightly offset from being near the midpoint of the pavilion. If the grass has been allowed to be overgrown, it may take some searching to find the benchmark within the grassy area along the pavilion's edge.

The disc is marked as a US Coast and Geodetic Survey benchmark. Its PID is JF0258 and is stamped FLORENCE 1934. Although there are some short scratches on the disc, it is basically in good condition and is readable.
