Center top is the name "SLATON" with a cotton plant on the left and a maize plant on the right.

Below Slaton a train curves from one end of the mural to the other. The caboose and engine depict real RR equipment on display in Slaton.

On the left beneath the caboose is the Farmers Co-op Gin, with a tractor plowing a field next to it.

The blue and white Santa Fe emblem breaks up the train in the center and has "Your Kind of Town" framing the emblem. Below the emblem is a man with a hoe working in the field and a couple of cowboys herding cattle next to him.

Beneath the engine on the right end of the mural is the rest of the herd of cows and next to them is the Santa Fe Depot.
