Local Wildlife

The Linesway has been designated a Leeds Nature Area (LNA) and is managed for for wildlife and people by Leeds City Council's Parks and Countryside Service in partnership with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

It contains a mosaic of different habitats which includes grassy verges in sunny glades, mature trees and scrub, embankments and ponds.

The Linesway offers a natural and vital corridor for wildlife in the surrounding areas, which so often become isolated by urban development. the Northern end is slightly more mature and has great views over open countryside.
