SPF "TF" Rafeal A. Carrillo, an alumnus of Boys Ranch, was killed in Baghdad, Iraq, when an enemy mortar detonated near his HMMWV. At that time he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died on June 28, 2005. This memorial in his honor was unveiled and dedicated in June 2017. The memorial consists of a bronze sculpture of SPF Carrillo and a young boy, and provides a quote from Carrillo.
