Ce sentier est l'itinéraire privilégié pour découvrir cette roche particulière qu'est le Poudingue. Celle-ci s'est formée il y a quelques millions d'années, par consolidation des débris rocheux arrachés à la chaîne alpine en cours de soulèvement.
La légende veut qu'il s'agisse de moines pétrifiés par St Donat pour n'avoir pas su résister à la tentation de trop belles Mauresques.
L’itinéraire chemine en crête et offre des vues remarquables sur les rochers et la vallée de la Durance.

This path is the preferred route to discover this particular rock that is the Poudingue. This was formed a few million years ago, by consolidation of rocky debris torn from the alpine chain during uplift.
Legend has it that these are monks petrified by St Donat for not having been able to resist the temptation of too beautiful Moors.
The route winds along a crest and offers remarkable views of the rocks and the Durance valley.
