The Kiowa County Museum is housed in the restored Rock Island Depot in Hobart, Oklahoma. Their guest book is just inside the main entrance.
The Rock Island depot, a one-story brick and stucco building, was constructed in 1909 and is located alongside the original Rock Island railroad right-of-way at 518 S. Main Street. The depot was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The Kiowa County Museum is filled with memorabilia, antiques, early American furniture and historical items from the area. Exhibits include an American Indian artifact room, early 1900s farm equipment, covered wagons and buggies, a Union Pacific caboose and boxcar, a school house with original furniture, an old post office window, and hand-made quilts.
