A lovely mural by Don Rockwell to adorn the the northside of the El Paraiso Restaurant at Colby and California. The link to the Herald news story really has all the information about Mr. Rockwell and this project.
The mural depicts a green bear which I assume to be a grizzly piloting a purple hulled container ship into port. The ship has a collage of items aboard that showcase Everett. The tail section of a commercial aircraft, a hockey stick and puck as well as the fret board of a guitar at the bow of the ship. The Funko crown, evergreen tree and a baseball round out the imagery. Gulls are perched in various places and rectangular shipping containers and the letters spelling 'Everett' complete the cargo. Below the 'Everett' cargo are the words completing the message 'welcomes you'.
