The bronze statue of a great Hungarian dramatist and novelist Mór Jókai (19 February 1825 – 5 May 1904) made by a a Hungarian sculptor Alajos Strobl (1856-1926). He is depicted here sitting in an armchair. His over-life size statue is places on about 2 meters high marble pedestal.

Jókai is a crater on Mercury. It has a diameter of 106 kilometers. Its name was adopted by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1979.

(90370) Jókaimór asteroid

(90370) Jokaimor is an asteroid1 of the Main Asteroid Belt. It was discovered on July 7, 2003 in Piszkesteto by Krisztián Sárneczky and Brigitta Sipocz. It has an orbit characterized by a semi-major axis of 3.13 AU, an eccentricity of 0.11 and an inclination of 8.2° with respect to the ecliptic.
It was named after a Hungarian dramatist and novelist Mór Jókai (1825-1904) was an imaginative, humorous and romantic writer. His work allows one to form a good idea of the character of this great Hungarian romancer and patriot. He was also a stargazer and owned an 8-cm refractor.
