This is a bronze survey monument installed flush with the concrete surface of the western pier at the entrance to Port Dover's harbour and the Lynn River. It is about 5m south of the beginning of the pier, directly between two steel gates and in the center of the pier.

This marker bears no identification other than the usual "Water Survey of Canada" inscription. The marker is in overall good condition with heavy wear on the raised center portion.
