Saint John of Nepomuk (or John Nepomucene) [Czech: Jan Nepomucký; German: Johannes Nepomuk; Latin: Ioannes (or Ioannis) Nepomucenus (c. 1345 – March 20, 1393) is the saint of Bohemia (Czech Republic), who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus, King of the Romans and King of Bohemia. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and he refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning.

Barokní kamenná plastika, dílo olomouckého sochare Davida Zurna z roku 1714 (signováno na podnoži). Obrysove uzavrená, vertikálne pojatá figura svetce v mírne nadživotní velikosti v tradicním odevu s biretem na hlave, stojí v mírném kontrapostu na nízké pravoúhlé podnoži. Obe ruce má pokrcené, o predloktí levé ruky se opírá kamenný krucifix, druhá ruka podepírá mucednickou palmovou ratolest. Socha stojí na hranolovém, dole volutove rozšíreném podstavci s odstupneným soklem a profilovanou rímsou. Na celní strane podstavce je bohatý reliéfní akantový dekor a dve kartuše. V horní oválné kartuši je aliancní erb fundátoru (jeden ze znaku patrí Werdenberkum), v dolní, témer kruhové kartuši je nápis s chronogramem: "B IOANNI NEPOMV/CENO HONORIS PA/TRONO DEBITE/STRVCTA". Další, cástecné necitelný nápis je na celní strane sokolu, jeho predpokládaný text zní: "AB/ANTONIO DOMINO DEROCHONVILE/S.C.M. VICE COLONELLO ET COMENDANTE/REGIMINIS GRONSFELD/".
