EN: These two beetle sculptures stand in the grass next to a road between Caslano and Magliaso.
The two shining beetles are both about one meter high and two and a half meters long.
The plaque next to the road states the title as "Sysiphos". I din not know that name (for insects), but there is indeed a genus of dung beetles of the subfamily of the scarabaeinae that is called sisyphus. But they have long hind legs, which the sculptures don't have, and the plaque states they are made from bronze and wood, while the real sculptures clearly are polished stainless steel. The website of the artist has pictures of the sculptures referred as "Shining I and II".
