With its superb view, the Saint-Michel chapel is a very popular place for visitors in summer. But this year, the building has been the target of serial incivility.
The locals were very moved by the theft of the trunk of the SNSM, attached to the door of the chapel. Inside, a trunk collecting money for candles lit by visitors was also broken into. The one installed, the next day as a replacement, suffered the same fate.
At the same time, the door to the Birlot mill, located a few hundred meters from the chapel, was opened and the association's prize pool flew! All in the space of a few days. “The town hall and the gendarmerie have been notified. Vigilance has increased, "said a volunteer.

Avec son superbe point de vue, la chapelle Saint-Michel est un lieu très prisé des visiteurs en été. Mais cette année, l’édifice a été la cible d’incivilités en série.
Les locaux se sont beaucoup émus du vol du tronc de la SNSM, fixé à la porte de la chapelle. À l’intérieur, un tronc recueillant l’argent pour les bougies allumées par les visiteurs a aussi été forcé. Celui installé, dès le lendemain en remplacement, a subi le même sort.
Dans le même temps, la porte du moulin du Birlot, situé à quelques centaines de mètres de la chapelle, a été ouverte et la cagnotte de l’association s’est envolée ! Le tout, en l’espace de quelques jours. « La mairie et la gendarmerie ont été prévenues. La vigilance s’est accrue », souligne un bénévole.
