A free food pantry and a free library are located near the entrance to Childers Knapp Elementary School.

On one hand, this is a nicely constructed and decorated Little Free Pantry. It's at an elementary school, and the sign represents the school mascot, the crocodile (although the school is home to the "Navigators")
"Food Pantry/Take what you need/Leave what you can" is inscribed on the front glass panel, underneath the school logo.
Unfortunately, despite the nice construction, we could not get the pantry open. We examined every inch of that structure, knew exactly what to do, but it would not budge and we were afraid of breaking it!
From what we could see thru the glass door, some of the food items available in the pantry were: boxes of mac and cheese, a loaf of bread, cans of soup (chicken noodle and vegetable), bags of pasta, and instant oatmeal.
