The pedestrian mall leading north from Old Main was completed in 2007. Directly in front of Old Main is a large fountain and the four pergolas with benches underneath provide a meeting place for the students. The pergolas each have four pairs of marble columns supporting an open wood roof. The wood tops are painted a light blue.
