Loch Brandy lies 650 metres up in a rocky corrie above the head of the Angus glen of Clova. It can be reached by a well constructed path which heads northwards up the hillside from the hamlet of Clova, where, after just over a mile, it reaches the south-western corner of the loch, which is unseen until reaching the last rise to the south.

The path is less distinct, but carries on up the Snub, a rocky escarpment which hangs over the western side of the loch. This path continues around the bowl of the corrie before dropping back down the eastern side to reach the loch's southern tip.

The loch carries a supply of wild brown trout and is home to a rare orange coloured water creature called a diatom.

Lake Type: Glacial lake

Coordinates location: On the south-western edge of the loch at the end of the path up from Clova.
