Culvert projects in Oklahoma were vast. We come upon them in most every town. This culvert transported run-off north/south on the west side of Smith Street at W. Raymond. For the most part it has been filled with dirt over the years and is no longer functional.
The concrete opening appears to have been about three feet wide and two feet deep. Unlike so many culverts that have a WPA date stamp pressed into the wet concrete of the curbing, this culvert is marked on both sides with "WPA 1937" scratched into the wet concrete by hand.
