Thomas Wade Landry was the first coach of the Dallas Cowboys, a position he held for twenty-nine seasons, a record for professional coaches. Another record is his twenty consecutive winning seasons. Under Landry's leadership the Cowboys won two Super Bowl titles (in Super Bowl VI and XII), five NFC titles, and 13 divisional titles.

This life size bronze statue, depicting Landry in his customary suit and fedora, was placed at Cowboy Stadium in 2001 and moved to the new AT&T stadium in 2009.
