There's not much to be found about this little church, but they are active, given the number of listings they have across the various web-spiders, while a few of those listings and a few obituaries note the congregation as members of the Presbyterian Church (USA). This little community of maybe 50-80 people has a community center, a store, and just to the northwest, another church and the New Haven Cemetery. The community's curious name was given to it by W.W. Crockett, a photographer who ran a general store in the area. He and his wife, Katie, had a little daughter that they named
Dimple, but unfortunately, she fell ill and passed on at the age of two. Mr. Crockett established a post office at his store in 1902, and the U.S. Government accepted the name "Dimple" at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Crockett later made their way to East Texas, but Dimple Dee Crockett rests at peace in the New Haven Cemetery.
