Located directly in front of the old town hall, this memorial is a flagpole that flies the American flag and dedicated to the citizens of the town of Herndon. The plaque reminds us that while we live in a state or town, we will always be Americans. Even though the town hall has taken up residence in a new building, the memorial has not been neglected and a flag is flown daily. On a side note: The town hall is now municipal office space and still property of the town of Herndon.
