Located on the Place du Centenaire in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, the Palace Jules Verne carousel amazes young and old. The wooden horses, the hot air balloon, the space rocket, the Nautilus submarine evoke happy memories of our childhood.
The merry-go-round is open every day from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The merry-go-round is accessible to children and adults.
Originally the first carousels were designed around real animals attached to the end of a rope and rotating around a stake and were then called sets of rings. A game borrowed from ancient chivalry. A l’origine les premiers carrousels ont été conçus autour de vrais animaux attachés au bout d’une corde et tournant autour d’un piquet et s’appelaient alors jeux de bagues. Un jeu emprunté à l’ancienne chevalerie. A la bague, le cavalier emporté par le galop de sa monture devait décrocher un anneau de la pointe de sa lance.
