Two wooden poor boxes in St Andrew's church, Eakring. The oldest, located near the font, is a timber column poor box with a moulded base on a chamfered stem. It has an iron clasp over a hinged lid. The panelled front is inscribed 'Remember ye poor 1718'.

Peter Laycock, first cousin of William Mompesson (visit link) , was responsible for the installation of the Poor Box of 1718 - an item noted as missing at an Archdeacon’s Visitation many years earlier.

On the other side of the aisle, near the north door, is a newer 19th century iron bound poor box mounted on a shaped bracket.
