An elaborately carved Jacobean pulpit and tester in St John of Jerusalem church, Winkburn.
A five sided pulpit set against the north aisle wall at the east end of the nave. There are three levels of panels to the sides, the top and bottom ones have a 'celtic' style carved decoration, the central panels have a floral design set within a carved pillared and round headed archway design. A backboard rises up to the hexagonal oak tester. It must be quite heavy, as it is supported by a metal rod attached to the ceiling.
