The south face of a granite monument on the northwest side of St. Teresa of Ávila Catholic Church bears the text of the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21. The text follows the Catholic tradition of combining the First and Second Commandments (and removing references to graven images) and splitting the Tenth Commandment into two.

The north face of the marker is engraved with the text of the Beatitudes, found in Matthew 5:1-12.

The marker text of the Ten Commandments (in all capital letters), expressed as writing carved into two tablets, is:

TEN COMMANDMENTS

I
You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.
II
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
III
Remember to keep holy the Lord's day.
IV
Honor your father and your mother.
V
You shall not kill.
VI
You shall not commit adultery.
VII
You shall not steal.
VIII
You sahall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
IX
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
X
You shall not covet your neighbor's goods

The text of The Beatitudes, also in capital letters, is engraved into the marker with no accompanying artwork.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called Children of God.
