In every village of the former county of Werkendam a tree has been planted to honour the coronation of king Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. This tree, a royal lime tree, was planted on 30 april 2013 (https://issuu.com/hetkontakt/docs/14_heusden_13_epaper). It is surrounded by a cast iron fence with the inscriptions WA and 2013 and a picture of a crown. The tree has a central place in the village square.
