This sign is located at the northern gate of the church area, next to the Cornelis Branderhorststraat. The church of Eethen dates back to the Middle Ages. There has been a wooden chapel which was replaced in about 1200 with a stone church. The church nave and tower are built in an Romanesque style. The choir was replaced in the second half of the 15th century by a choir in Gothic style. The church has been largely destroyed during the Second World War, but it has been restored in the original medieval form.
