This was one of four Little Free Libraries placed in Highland Village by Girl Scout, Cassandra Campbell, as she worked towards her Gold Award in 2015. It stands upon a stained wooden post, and despite a rickety door that will still latch closed, it's in good shape although in need of some TLC. Three of the sides are dark blue, while the door is white with a red frame around the window, and the roof is red. There is peeling white paint that suggests there may have been stripes and an American flag motif of some kind.

The park is open daily from 6 AM to 11 PM, and the Little Free Library is one of several amenities here. There is a pavilion, a drinking fountain (including one for Fido), a picnic table and grill, playground facilities, and plenty of open space. A section of the city's Copperas Trail extends to the east and west of the park.
