website describes it as "the premiere performance facility of the prestigious University of North Texas College of Music." It opened in 1999 and features two performance venues. The Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Hall is that interesting section known as "The Armadillo" that looks cool from above, and it seats over a thousand for student/faculty and band performances, concerts, and symphonies. The Lyric Theatre is a little cozier, seating between three and four hundred, and is used primarily for vocal and opera performances.
They have several studio and rehearsal spaces, and the Brock Grand Lobby is also put to use for receptions. Check their website for performances and tickets, and students can flash their ID card to see most shows for free. Free parking is plentiful at the site of where Fouts Field once stood, just a short walk away.
