This marble monument stands between six and seven feet high, topped by an open book that could be a Bible, it could be the Book of Life. There are tree branches framing the front and reverse sides, although there is text only to be found on the front. The family name, "Bumgarner", is on the plinth, and the Woodmen of the World emblem is below the Gates of Heaven, complemented by calla lilies. The inscription reads:

Nov. 28, 1856.

Died
May 21, 1902.
