EN: This picture shows the Lötschberg south ramp construction railway on the east side of the Bietschtal. The narrow-gauge railway was built in 1907 and brought construction workers, materials and machines to the construction sites of the large line. After the completion of the Lötschberg line, the railway was dismantled in 1913. In 1960 a hiking trail was set up along the route, which often runs along the route of the former construction railway.
DE: Dieses Bild zeigt die Baubahn der Lötschberg Südrampe an der Ostseite des Bietschtales. Die Schmalspurbahn wurde ab 1907 erbaut und brachte Bauarbeiter, Material und Maschinen zu den Baustellen der grossen Linie. Nach Fertigstellung der Lötschberglinie wurde die Bahn 1913 wieder abgebaut. 1960 wurde ein Wanderweg entlang der Strecke eingerichtet, der häufig auf der Trasse der ehemaligen Baubahn verläuft.
