At mile marker 53.81 between Emsdale and Katrine is the first of three bridges crossing the south branch of the Magnetawan River. This bridge is a steel 5 panel riveted Warren pony truss style and bares a date of 1936. The line between Gravenhurst and North Bay (Huntsville Subdivision) that was owned by the Northern & Pacific Junction Railway Company was completed in 1886 so there was an older structure here and the evidence can be seen by the chisled granite blocks strewn about around the bridge site. In 1964, the line name was changed so this bridge is now a part of CN's Newmarket Subdivision.

The coordinates N 45° 33.867 W079° 20.258 were taken almost at the centre of the structure as we were in our kayaks for the find so we were able to get nice and close to the structure.
