Het Rode Kruis is een symbool geworden voor hulp aan mensen in nood. Of het nu slachtoffers zijn van een aardbeving in een ver land of mensen die het moeilijk hebben in Nederland, dus ook in ons eigen dorp Wassenaar: het Rode Kruis helpt onvoorwaardelijk. Zonder mensen uit te sluiten, als neutrale en onafhankelijke organisatie.
Voor de activiteiten in Nederland zijn 30.000 vrijwilligers verantwoordelijk. Wassenaar telt ongeveer 60 Rode Kruis vrijwilligers. Zij verrichten o.a. EHBO diensten bij evenementen of verzorgen vervoer en begeleiding aan hulpbehoevenden bij bezoek aan ziekenhuis en/of arts. Waar het kan helpen we. Het Rode Kruis helpt onvoorwaardelijk, zonder mensen uit te sluiten, als neutrale en onafhankelijke organisatie.

30,000 volunteers are responsible for the activities in the Netherlands. Wassenaar has approximately 60 Red Cross volunteers.
