Horovice Municipal Library bearing name of local poet and writer Ivan Slavík (Knihovna Ivana Slavíka), together with Horovice Information Center, occupies a part of one of former farm buildings of Baroque Old Cheateau (Starý zámek) complex in Horovice.
The public municipal library in Horovice, which originated from the existing local society libraries, was opened in the Radbice building on May 24, 1920. The library council also succeeded in enforcing a reading room for about 20 people. During its existence, the library changed its seat several times (District Office, City Hall, Post Office). It has been located, as a part of Municipal Cultural Centre, in the Horovice Old Chateau complex since 2017.
