Over het standbeeld:
"Het Heilig Hartbeeld werd opgericht aan de voorzijde van de Johannes de Doperkerk, als dank voor bescherming tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en ter herinnering aan drie omgekomen mannen. Het werd gemaakt door beeldhouwer Wim Harzing en ingezegend in oktober 1946, op het feest van Christus Koning.
Het beeld toont een staande Christusfiguur, gekleed in een lang gewaad en omhangen met een stola en kazuifel. Hij houdt zijn rechterhand zegenend geheven. Op zijn borst is het Heilig Hart ingekrast.
Het beeld staat op een bakstenen muurtje, waarin twee plaquettes met opschriften zijn geplaatst:

About the statue:
"The Sacred Heart Statue was erected in front of the Johannes de Doperkerk (Saint John the Baptist Church), in thanks for protection during the Second World War and in memory of three men who were killed. It was made by sculptor Wim Harzing and blessed in October 1946, at the feast of Christ the King.
The statue shows a standing Christ figure, dressed in a long robe and surrounded by a stole and chasuble. He holds his right hand raised in blessing. The Sacred Heart is engraved on his chest.
The statue is placed on a brick wall, in which two plaques with inscriptions are placed:
