This small bench in honour of Douglas Aaron Spencer can be found in front of No. $ 'Seapeep' on Shore Road. The bench is to the left of the front door of the small cottage and catches the sun all day as it faces south.

This light-coloured wooden bench has a horizontally slatted seat and a vertically slatted backrest. It also has two armrests. The bench has not been treated or painted and is a little weathered and rough to the touch.

The rectangular plaque on the backrest of the bench is inscribed as follows:

The bench is positioned so as to afford a good view of Shore Road but is mainly intend as a 'Sun Trap'
