This remains an architecturally pleasing building with most of its fine late Victorian features in place. The Bank of Deming was followed by the Mimbres Valley Bank and then the Deming National Bank. The building was constructed in 1893 with two floors and exposure along both Pine and Silver streets. The successive banks occupied the ground floor which originally had a door on the corner with a tower above. The second floor has generally been residential, originally a hotel and later, apartments. the second floor entrance is a single door facing Pine Street.
The ground floor is currently occupied by Marie's Italian Grill which seems to have had a predecessor, Palma's Italian Grill. Judging from the Signage on the Pine street entrance, an antiques mall has also occupied the space. The top floor is unoccupied.
