The Bethany Beach Post Office at one time took up the whole building but now only resides in the northern 2/3. The plaque itself is on the side of the building now used as a restaurant and the original building surface is covered but the plaque remains.
The dedication took place during Lyndon B Johnson's Presidency and the post master was John A Gronouski.
