Sneglehuset er naturligvis beliggende i en gade kaldet Sneglevej i Thyborøn.
Overalt, både inde og ude, er murværket og møblerne dækket med geniale mønstre skabt af muslingeskaller. Dette fantastiske hus er lavet af en enkelt mand gennem et langt liv. Sneglehuset er en vigtig turistattraktion - besøgt af den kongelige familie.
Ud over de mange skaller er der en stor udstilling af flaskeskibe som er lavet af de lokale fiskere.
The Shell House is of course situated in a street called Sneglevej (’Shell Street’) in Thyboroen.
Everywhere, both inside and outside, the masonry and furniture are covered with ingenious designs created from shells. This stunning house is made by a single man through a long life. The Shell House is a major tourist attraction – visited by the royal family.
Besides the many shells , there is a large exhibition of ships in bottles. These unique ships are the hobby work of local fishermen.
There is a café in The Shell House where coffee and ice cream can be bought.
