Cette statue de George Hill, érigée à Lachute, illustre un soldat triomphant, à tête découverte, tenant sa main droite levée en signe de victoire glorieuse et main gauche posée sur son fidèle Lee-Enfield. Le soldat canadien ressort, vainqueur, de la bataille et savoure l’exaltation de la victoire.
