The chapel is in the middle of the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. The chapel was finished in 1986. The mission is in mission style with a bell tower and a light tan color. The doors are made of thick wood. Inside the chapel are a few wooden pews and an alter.
A plaque by the door reads: "St Clare Chapel and Mausoleum, Completed December 1986 by William F Donnelly SJ rector of the Jesuit Community at Santa Clara University. Robert E Boscacci Cemetery Superintendent"
