FR Au bout de la traverse du cirque, on peut voir cette fontaine très originale.
En demi cercle, une quinzaine de jets sortent du bassin à 1 mètre du mur sur lequel elle est appuyée pour projeter de l'eau.
Devant, une oeuvre d'art signée par Jean Amado est surélevée pour être vue des passants.

jean Amado est un sculpteur aixois né en 1922, céramiste à ses débuts, aborda dès 1950 des sculptures monumentales, d'abord en terre cuite, puis dans un matériau de son invention lui permettant d’élaborer une technique savante de découpe et d’assemblage.

Ses oeuvres : panneaux émaillés, bas-reliefs ou fontaines habitent les places publiques et monuments d’Alger, Lyon, Marseille, Paris, Evry, Valenton ou Aix-en-Provence.

Jean Amado
jean Amado is an Aix sculptor born in 1922, a ceramist at the beginning, approached from 1950 monumental sculptures, first in terracotta, then in a material of his invention allowing him to develop a skillful technique of cutting and assembly .

His works: enameled panels, bas-reliefs or fountains inhabit public places and monuments in Algiers, Lyon, Marseille, Paris, Evry, Valenton or Aix-en-Provence.
