"Onondaga Audubon’s Derby Hill, located on the southeastern corner of Lake Ontario in Oswego County, NY, is one of the premier hawk watches in the Northeastern United States."

The main hawk season is the begging of March until the end of May. 40,000 raptors are counted each spring. There are multiple parking areas to get to the main overlook facing Lake Ontario. There are 5 different viewing areas. They overlook Lake Ontario, Sage Creek Swamp, and meadows. The area looking over the creek swamp has a bird blind. There are benches overlooking the lake and the meadows. The area was acquired in 1975 with the help of the Nature Conservancy. The fall is a time for ducks, geese, and gulls.
