In Lakeside Cemetery, on the east side of the city of Erie, PA, is a gravestone marking the burial of 14 unknown persons. Their remains were placed here on June 8, 1981. The text of the stone reads:
"Here lie the remains of 14 unknown persons removed from the Evangelical Reformed Church Cemetery, 8th and French Streets, site of the new Civic Center"
The "Civic Center" is now known as Erie Insurance Arena, which is at the corner of 8th and French Streets, as mentioned on the grave stone.
