Scottsdale Stadium was constructed in 1956 and served as the Cactus League home of the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland A’s. The stadium became the spring training field for the
San Francisco Giants in 1984. Further renovations in 1991 and 2005 added many improvements (including additional practice fields) and the stadium now seats 12,000 fans. The stadium is also home field for the
Scottsdale Scorpions.
