Festival Concert Hall is an acoustically excellent, 1,000-seat hall, opened in 1981. FCH is the concert home for all NDSU music major ensembles, major Theatre NDSU musical productions, the F-M Symphony, the F-M Opera, and for special concert and performance appearances by groups such as the Vienna Boys Choir, The Second City, Arlo Guthrie, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Smuin Ballet, The National Symphony Orchestra, Christopher O'Riley, the Harlem Gospel Choir, and other touring arts organizations. According to Fargo-Moorhead.org (visit link)

For a number of years my parents attended the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra productions here at Festival Hall. Before purchasing season tickets my dad visited and tried out a number of seats, think Sheldon Cooper in a movie theater. Dad chose a pair of seats on the main floor, near the front and audience left. When ask why, dad told me it would be a good view of pianists playing the piano when was on stage.

Festival Hall is used for non-musical events as well. I attended a presentation with Jane Elliott of "Blue eyes/Brown eyes" fame here a a few theatre productions for local schools.
