Fourth Ward Park Little Free Library - Charlotte, NC - Free Community Book Exchanges on Waymarking.com

The Fourth Ward Park is a wonderful neighborhood linear park near the downtown area of Charlotte, North Carolina. It starts at the corner of W 6th Street and N Poplar Street where a round fountain and a glass sculpture draws you into the park's pathway. The hike and bike pathway wends along behind and between the houses facing the streets, going two blocks before ending in the middle of W 8th Street, between N Pine and N Poplar streets. This nicely made and well-maintained Little Free Library is about 725 feet from W 6th Street when following the pathway, and about 225 feet from W 8th Street when following the path. From N Poplar Street, if you gauge it good enough, the little library is about 50 feet away. Taking the walking trail from 6th Street toward 8th Street is a very pleasant stroll, and is my recommendation on how to find this book exchange.

The concept of the Little Free Library is for people within a community to stop by the unit and examine the selection of books at that time. If you see a book you'd like to read, feel free to take it with you. If you have books at home that you have already read, you are encouraged to take these books to a Little Free Library and donate them into any little library's book selection. This concept is summarized as: Take A Book: Return a Book. Feel free to take a book you want to read, and feel free to return a book or add a book to this exchange unit, or any others you know of. Your contribution of books keeps the sections varied and keeps the little libraries filled with books for others. Its is a win-win situation.
